Job Summary:
MindSource is seeking an experienced CAD Administrator to support and maintain a Computer-Aided Dispatch environment for Public Safety operations. The role involves administering CAD systems, supporting dispatch operations, and collaborating with various teams to enhance public safety technologies.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Administer, maintain, and support Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Mobile CAD systems.
โ€ข Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain CAD software and related applications.
โ€ข Manage and maintain CAD databases, including streets, response locations, subdivisions, GIS mapping layers, and code tables.
โ€ข Configure CAD settings, user accounts, vehicle records, and system parameters.
โ€ข Monitor system performance and troubleshoot software, hardware, and user access issues.
โ€ข Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to dispatch personnel and end users.
โ€ข Manage user accounts, permissions, and system security.
โ€ข Maintain hardware inventory, software licensing, and technical documentation.
โ€ข Generate operational, statistical, and management reports.
โ€ข Analyze CAD data to identify trends and improve operational efficiency.
โ€ข Collaborate with IT, GIS, Police, Fire, EMS, Records Management, and third-party vendors.
โ€ข Support integrations between CAD, Mobile CAD, RMS, GIS, GPS, and other public safety applications.
โ€ข Develop and maintain CAD administration policies, procedures, and documentation.
โ€ข Participate in software upgrades, testing, disaster recovery planning, and security initiatives.
โ€ข Provide end-user training and technical documentation as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
โ€ข 5+ years of experience administering Public Safety CAD systems
โ€ข Experience supporting 911 Emergency Communications
โ€ข Experience supporting Police Dispatch
โ€ข Experience supporting Fire Dispatch
โ€ข Experience supporting EMS Operations
โ€ข Experience with Windows-based CAD systems
โ€ข Strong knowledge of Mobile CAD functionality
โ€ข Experience managing CAD databases and system configuration
โ€ข Experience with user administration, security, and permissions
โ€ข Knowledge of GIS mapping, CAD mapping layers, and GPS technologies
โ€ข Experience with software installation, upgrades, and system deployments
โ€ข Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience with TriTech CAD Software (Highly Preferred)
โ€ข Experience with Records Management Systems (RMS)
โ€ข Experience deploying enterprise software solutions
โ€ข Trainer or Instructor experience
โ€ข Law Enforcement, Fire, or EMS operational experience
