JOB DESCRIPTION:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Create and modify CAD models for the needs of delivery partners and customers. Ensure expected standards and best practices are being followed during model creation. Responds to customer/delivery partner requests/inquiries.

POSITION PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Applies CAD expertise and knowledge in the creation and delivery of product drawings for use by manufacturing, vendors, delivery partners and end use customers. Anticipates and recommends options or solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Works closely with Customer Service Representatives, RTQ&E, Manufacturing, Materials Management, Suppliers and customers to define requirements and provide timely and accurate solutions.
  • Engages in contact with manufacturing, vendors, delivery partners and end use customers to discuss process flow and product issues.
  • Conducts effective verbal and graphical communications to facilitate customer understanding of, and satisfaction with, the product solutions presented within Customer Experience and CAD teams.
  • Stays abreast of current CAD and architectural technologies and prioritizes their application to Andersen's CAD support services. May develop or maintain programming related to CAD software automation features.
  • Review key performance indicators and recommend adjustments.

POSITION MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate of Science Degree with a minimum of 1- 3 years' experience in drafting or related area of work. High School Diploma with a minimum of 2-5 years' experience in drafting or related work.
  • Technical Skills: Expert level CAD and 3D modeling software experience. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of tools, information/data comprehension.
  • Customer orientation and advocacy, flexibility, results orientation, self-development capability, tolerance of ambiguity.

POSITION NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in an engineering or research environment acquired through a course of specialized study (typically, a two-year degree program) or equivalent on the job training. Strong interest and basic aptitude to work in a technical or scientific field.

COMPENSATION:

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
