Job description

Black Bear Talent is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Press Brake Operator to support daily metal fabrication operations. This position is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC press brake equipment to bend and form metal parts according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and production schedules. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain quality standards while working safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:00PM

Duties and Responsibilities

Work from verbal and/or written instructions from supervisor and engineers.

Set up and operate various CNC fabricators, shear, spot weld, and press brake equipment per print.

Set up other equipment as assigned.

Fabricate parts using various sheet metal fabricating tools and machines.

Read and use a variety of measuring instruments.

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as necessary.

Input programs in CNC controls and make adjustments as necessary.

Apply mathematics in various phases of the job.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret prints, assembly checks, and CAD models in order to meet production specifications preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate sheet metal fabricating equipment.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain quality standards.

Basic math and measurement skills.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education & Experience

Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred.

Prior CNC press brake or metal fabrication experience is a plus.
