The Survey CAD Draftsperson is responsible for the preparation and production of boundary, topographic and physical feature location survey plans, subdivision and boundary line adjustment plats, and computations for construction site layout. Other responsibilities include…

  • Perform deed research for new survey projects
  • Prepare survey exhibits utilizing field and office data
  • Draft subdivision, boundary, and easement plats
  • Compute site plan data for field crew to use on construction stakeout projects
  • Create surface models and produce elevation contours for topographic surveys
  • Report pertinent progress information to Project Manager
  • Able to work in the field when necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent or Bachelors Degree
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills including the ability to compose emails, transmittals and reports
  • Thorough understanding of trigonometry and geometry mathematical concepts
  • Ability to interact with other professionals and public officials
  • Familiarity with the technical basics of land surveying, as well as with a variety of the commonly used principles, practices and procedures of land surveying projects
