ENGINEER, DESIGN ELECTRICAL
Performs functions to design or develop new or redesign existing company products. Works closely with other engineering areas to define optimum design specifications. Performs control hardware, wiring, and software creation functions with guidance of Senior Design Engineer. Performs all bill of material, part definition, and drawing work related to a project. Works directly with company or customer’s personnel to determine the cause of electrical malfunctions and conveys appropriate repair procedures. Prepares sales-related documents, including cost estimates and project scope of supply, for machine design, customization and/or refurbish/rebuild projects. Works directly with sales, aftermarket, purchasing, manufacturing, and assembly departments to resolve engineering related issues. Communicates directly with vendors to obtain information and assistance. Direct customer contact, including limited travel on a global basis. Other duties as may be assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering field
  • Ability to work and accomplish goals with minimal direction
  • Customer service mentality with the availability for overnight domestic and overseas travel
  • Ability to make decisions independently when in customer’s facility
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience working with CAD
  • Experience with PLC, HMI or similar hardware and software
  • Experience with Variable Frequency Drives, commissioning and diagnostics
  • Experience with servo selection, programming and diagnostics
  • Must be able to become first aid and CPR certified
