About Croci North America

Croci North America develops and manufactures high-performance architectural products, including aluminum windows and doors, impact-rated systems, retractable opening-protection systems, pergolas, and related building products.

Supported by international engineering and manufacturing resources, our Fort Myers team is expanding its North American operations and launching new products for the U.S. market.

Position Overview

Croci North America is seeking a hands-on Product Development Specialist to support the design, testing, documentation, and production implementation of new and existing products.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, this position will work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and outside testing agencies. The selected candidate will receive direct technical mentorship and gain practical experience across CAD design, prototyping, product testing, certification, manufacturing, and new-product launches.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in both digital environments and with physical products and wants broader experience than a traditional CAD or drafting position. As Croci North America continues to grow, the position will offer opportunities for increased responsibility and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and revise 3D CAD models, assemblies, components, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Prepare Bills of Materials, fabrication details, cut lists, work instructions, and other production documentation.
  • Support the development of aluminum windows, doors, retractable impact-protection systems, pergolas, and related products.
  • Assist with prototype fabrication, product assembly, measurement, inspection, and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare test specimens, participate in product testing, and document results and design revisions.
  • Support new-product introductions, pilot builds, and initial manufacturing runs.
  • Research components, materials, manufacturing methods, and suppliers.
  • Help identify and resolve design, quality, assembly, and manufacturability issues.
  • Maintain organized CAD files, specifications, test records, and revision histories.
  • Contribute to improvements involving tooling, fixtures, equipment, automation, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

  • Education or experience in engineering technology, mechanical design, CAD, manufacturing, industrial design, construction, fabrication, or a related field.
  • Experience using Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion, or similar 3D CAD software.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, practical problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and clearly communicate technical information.
  • Comfortable working independently while asking questions and seeking direction when appropriate.
  • Willingness to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to work on-site in Fort Myers, Florida.

Experience with Autodesk Inventor, aluminum extrusions, building products, fabrication, product testing, CNC equipment, Autodesk Vault, iLogic, automation, or rapid prototyping is a plus.

Why Join Croci North America?

  • Contribute to the complete product-development cycle, from initial concepts and prototypes through testing, certification, and production launch.
  • Build broad, hands-on experience across CAD design, prototyping, manufacturing, supplier development, and product validation.
  • Work directly with domestic and international engineering and manufacturing teams on products developed for the North American market.
  • Receive direct technical mentorship and opportunities to expand your skills, responsibilities, and influence as the company grows.
  • See the practical impact of your work as products move from design into testing and full-scale manufacturing.
  • Join a growing North American operation offering competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and long-term professional-development opportunities.

Position Details

  • Employment type: Full-time, salaried
  • Reports to: Technical Manager
  • Location: On-site in Fort Myers, Florida
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required
