Job description

Calvary Robotics is seeking self-driven, motivated and detail-oriented individuals, passionate about the application of modern machine design concepts in development of flexible and modular automation platforms. Together, our daily challenge will be, to understand customer requirements and develop accurate package designed to manufacture and service. Senior level employees act as leaders on design teams for our custom solutions.
Main Duties
  • Design/Specify and Integrate Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic Control System/Hardware for custom engineered solutions.
    • (Example projects: Automated Assembly, Product Testing, and Material Handling Systems.)
  • Produce accurate schematics/ designs using ePlan.
  • Develop accurate Bill of Materials.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing and Purchasing staff during the design and build process
  • Ensure that design is in line with project requirements, Calvary design standards,and industry standards (NFPA 79, NEC, OSHA, etc.)
  • Support technical writers on machine functional/maintenance manuals based on designs.
  • Contribute to development and upkeep Calvary Standards
  • Mentor team members to help grow knowledge of the team.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, and/or other degrees / demonstrated industry experience.
  • CAD experience - ePlan experience preferred, AutoCAD experience acceptable.
  • Industry Experience in Electrical Design, or System Integration.
  • Ability to integrate various controls hardware into a uniform and consistent design package. Some of common design components are power, circuit protection, PLC's, PC's, vision systems, robots, motion, safety devices, actuators, sensors, instrumentation, testers, third party components, etc.
  • Proficiency with safety circuit devices, circuit protection, and relevant calculations.
  • Proficiency with pneumatic or hydraulic circuits, devices, and relevant calculations.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, in particular workings of fieldbus technologies such as Ethernet/IP, Profinet, EtherCAT.
  • Control panel layout, heating/cooling calculations.
  • Basic understanding of industry standard regulation such as NFPA 79, NFPA 70, and CE
  • A degree of spatial reasoning. Basic understand of how move and interact in relation to the physical space.
