Computer Aided Design Design Engineer Jobs in Modesto, CA

We’re seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join a growing team supporting cutting-edge telecommunications, security, and life safety systems projects. • Review and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards
• Create and modify detailed CAD drawings for telecom, security, and low-voltage systems (CCTV, access control, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and design teams to resolve discrepancies and improve design quality
• Translate rough concepts and redlines into fully developed CAD documents
• Ensure all drawings align with project requirements, codes, and standards
• Work independently within established processes while maintaining high attention to detail
• Support design updates and revisions throughout project lifecycles

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3–5 years of CAD experience (AutoCAD strongly preferred)
• Experience working with low voltage systems, including:
  • Telecommunications infrastructure
  • Security systems (CCTV, access control)
  • Life safety systems
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, layouts, and design standards
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Associate’s Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field
• Experience with OSP (Outside Plant) or telecom design
• Familiarity with structured cabling systems and network infrastructure

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livermore, CA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
