Job Summary

The Survey CADD Technician is responsible for preparing detailed survey drawings and maps using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software based on field data collected by survey crews. This role supports land surveying, civil engineering, and construction projects by translating field notes and measurements into accurate topographic, boundary, and construction plans. The Survey CADD Technician collaborates with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to ensure deliverables meet technical and quality standards, project specifications, and deadlines.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Draft accurate survey plats and easement plats, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standard
  • Process and analyze topographic survey data to produce precise, actionable results.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with project teams to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Read, interpret, and apply information from plans, profiles, cross sections, details, figures, graphs, and charts.
  • Generate existing and proposed surface models and contour maps to support project design and planning.
  • Prepare staking data to guide survey crews and support field operations.
  • Provide support for field assignments as needed, contributing to successful project execution.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • .Associates degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design
  • Survey knowledge of land surveying principles, practices and terminology
  • Auto CAD/MicroStation experience

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
