Description:

Scope of Position:
โ€ข Manage drafting documents and services for the HaKY plant including storage, creation, and modification of electronic and physical drawings, support field verifications, support 3D printing, and maintaining general draftingย supplies and equipment.
ย 
Day to Day Responsibilities:
โ€ข Maintain and execute the documented drafting policies and procedures
โ€ข Drafting room organization and management
โ€ข Store, create, & modify AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar files
โ€ข Meridian drawing vault administrator
โ€ข Manage drawing requests, checked-out drawings, etc. following IA policy
โ€ข Provide training & support for drafting systems
โ€ข Verification and modification of as-built drawings through field inspections
โ€ข 3D printing & plotter support
โ€ข Conversion of SolidWorks models to 2D drawings
โ€ข Engage HaKY and Division Engineering teams for cohesive drawing management
โ€ข Own and manage the entire drafting area for the Client's plant.ย 
โ€ข Ensure proper management of printed and electronic drawings, including check-in/check-out processes.ย 
โ€ข Support equipment and facilities engineering with accurate CAD drawings.ย 
โ€ข Convert SolidWorks 3D models into AutoCAD 2D drawings for machine shops and equipment documentation.ย 
Required Education and Experience:
โ€ข Certified Drafting/CAD Technician or equivalentย 
โ€ข Associate degree in drafting or mechanical engineering (Bachelorโ€™s degree acceptable)
โ€ข 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
โ€ข Solid CAD training
Required Skills:
โ€ข Proficient in AutoCADย 
โ€ข Ability to convert SolidWorks 3D models to 2D drawings.ย 
โ€ข Ability to validate drawings by field verification (checking actual equipment/facility layout).ย 
โ€ข Strong organizational skills for managing drawing systems, vaults, and documentation workflows.ย 
โ€ข Ability to field verify drawings, specifically facility related
โ€ข Strong organizational skills
โ€ข Strong communication skills
โ€ข Ability to work independently under general scope
โ€ข Ability to adhere to procedures & guidelines
โ€ข Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly
โ€ข Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries and integrate solutions
Desired Skills:

โ€ข Meridian or similar vault system experience
