We are currently seeking a Program Aide and Van Driver - Per Diem who will assist groups of seniors with program activities and provide personal care to clients. They will also provide transportation services for the seniors of the Adult Day Center.


Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 8:00am- 4:30pm

Expected Schedule: Per Diem


Outline of Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Participates in and leads program activities at the center, such as exercise, activity set up and clean up, instructing clients in arts and crafts, group and individual games, and other special projects.
  • Ensures client participation and ensures safety. 
  • Provides van transportation for adult day center clients in accordance with policy and procedures established for the operation of center vehicles. 
  • Assists with personal care needs of clients such as transfer, toileting, clothing changes, and showering. 
  • Demonstrates quality customer service by respecting client's rights, respectful communication, demonstrating an understanding of the physical, emotional and developmental needs of the client and proper ways to work with the population served. 
  • Treats co-workers, clients and visitors respectfully, courteously and professionally, addressing conflict and disagreement in a positive and respectful manner.

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High school degree or equivalent 
  • 2 years of experience working with or supporting seniors 

Minimum Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Must be eligible for Public Service License to operate passenger van
  • HHA/CNA certificate preferred

Minimum Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to travel 50% within a UCFS-owned passenger van 
  • Basic computer skills for emails and trainings 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Receptivity to feedback
  • Ability to take direction 
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Physical ability to provide mobility assistance 
  • Fluency in English language
