Job Summary:
Global Technical Talent is an Inc. 5000 Company that specializes in staffing solutions. They are seeking a Staff Python Developer responsible for creating and implementing scalable solutions to complex business challenges while providing technical direction for Python-based applications and cloud-hosted platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a staff-level technical contributor on complex software development projects, partnering closely with designers, analysts, computational designers, and other developers to deliver scalable and reliable Python-based solutions supporting enterprise and computational design workflows.
• Design, build, and maintain Python-based web applications, APIs, background services, and integrations deployed on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in support of the organization's Computational Design Systems and digital engineering initiatives.
• Provide technical direction for significant system components or end-to-end applications, making sound architectural and implementation recommendations that influence solution quality, maintainability, and cross-team collaboration.
• Support planning and execution of the full software development lifecycle, including application architecture, cloud deployment strategies, security considerations, automated testing, and operational support for web-based computational platforms.
• Lead the design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of sophisticated, scalable, and cloud-native software products while collaborating with project leads, product stakeholders, and development teams.
• Write efficient, well-documented Python code and supporting configurations to implement robust software solutions that optimize engineering, analysis, data processing, automation, and integration workflows.
• Lead and support software updates, code reviews, automated testing, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and enhancements to ensure long-term reliability, scalability, and maintainability of cloud-hosted applications.
• Promote coding standards, reusable design patterns, secure development practices, and cloud-native Python development approaches across project teams.
• Research and apply emerging tools, frameworks, libraries, and cloud services — particularly in Python, Azure, GCP, APIs, data processing, and computational design technologies — to enhance system capabilities and improve internal software development processes.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong professional experience with Python application development, API design, automated testing, debugging, and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-hosted applications or services in Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or similar cloud environments.
