Job Summary:
Hadrian is a company focused on building autonomous factories to revolutionize manufacturing for aerospace and defense. The role of Computational Geometry Software Engineer involves developing systems that analyze CAD models and improve manufacturability, while working closely with experts across various manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Build systems that analyze CAD models to drive manufacturability decisions and generate real-world manufacturing processes
โ€ข Develop high-performance geometry and analysis pipelines in C++ and Python, including production GPU-accelerated workflows
โ€ข Integrate with CAD/CAM systems such as NX, hyperMILL, and other engineering tools
โ€ข Own system performance and reliability in production- testing, profiling, and continuously improving them
โ€ข Help expose internal capabilities through APIs and web-based tools that make them usable across the company
โ€ข Engage in process and product discovery alongside experts in manufacturing and software, working on ambiguous, real-world problems
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
โ€ข Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, with experience building and shipping production systems
โ€ข Experience with CAD systems or geometric modeling, including kernels like OpenCascade or Parasolid
โ€ข Experience with GPU-accelerated computing in production or performance-critical environments
โ€ข Comfortable working across the stack when needed, including developing and exposing systems via web services (gRPC, SQL, TypeScript, Docker, etc.)
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience in manufacturing environments and familiarity with industry CAD/CAM and simulation tools
โ€ข Experience with mechanical design and GD&T
โ€ข Clear communicator who can effectively explain complex technical problems to a wide audience
โ€ข Strong product intuition and pragmatic mindsetโ€”focused on solving high-impact problems for users and factories
