Job Summary

Summary
Responsible for combining research in biology, medicine, and health-related studies with information technology in order to collect and interpret data covering a range of fields, such as genetics or pharmaceutics. They create mathematical models, develop dynamic simulations, and perform pattern analyses of biological systems.

Essential Functions
-Assist in the analysis of biological data using bioinformatics tools and software.
-Perform data processing, quality control, and database maintenance.
-Collaborate with research teams to understand their data analysis needs.
-Support the development and implementation of data analysis pipelines.
-Conduct basic statistical analyses and data visualization.
-Participate in the interpretation and presentation of results.
-Working under very general supervision, the Bioinformatics Analyst will have demonstrated independent design and innovation in one or more of the following areas of specialization: algorithm development, data analysis, quality assurance/testing, pipeline software/computing development, user interface design & report development, web-based application development, or report development.

Bachelor's Degree Computational Biology required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required or Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred
Experience
