Summary:

The Manufacturing Operator I is responsible for the final packaging of products used in the biotechnology industry. This role focuses on operating labeling and packaging equipment, completing production processes according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensuring product quality and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and/or monitor production equipment, making necessary adjustments to ensure smooth operations and high-quality results in the work area.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to perform filling, labeling, and packaging of products.
  • Comprehend production paperwork including product reconciliation, label reconciliation, labor sheets, product fill checks, and torque checks.
  • Follow manufacturing paperwork meticulously without deviations from instructions.
  • Handle chemicals and hazardous materials safely.
  • Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.
  • Follow ISO 13485 guidelines and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, machines, glassware, or equipment as required.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with work groups to ensure task and project completion.
  • Perform duties in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Be flexible to work overtime and varying shifts.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Required Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic knowledge of packaging and labeling processes.
  • Ability to operate labeling and packaging equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions accurately.
  • Comfortable working with chemicals and hazardous materials.
  • Good mathematical and computational skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, laboratory, or packaging environment.
  • Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments and SOP-driven processes.
  • Experience working with quality and compliance standards.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting activities.
  • Frequently lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a moderate-noise production environment.
  • Good visual acuity, including close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment.
