Job description

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Under general supervision, the Full Stack Web Application Developer provides software and systems engineering services, generally as a member of a work unit or group. The Full Stack Web Application Developer will be required to perform the following functions/duties: Advise team and project managers on technical problems Interact with customers, colleagues, and project managers on a regular basis Use judgment and initiative in developing analytical methodologies for problem solving Interpret customer requirements and develop and analyze the most appropriate approach to solve technical problems Implement design through software coding and appropriately document the design implementation Plan and execute unit and integration testing, and coordinate user acceptance testing Assist in maintenance and sustainment activities of cloud-based virtual system/software Perform other job-related duties, as required Maintain baseline configurations for two on-premises web applications Assist with migration of one on-premises application to an existing private cloud Additional Valuable Skills Waterfall development methodology Microsoft Server management, particularly Microsoft IIS Experience using AWS technologies (EC2, S3) Web Application Programming Interfaces, (RESTful) Backend programming in Python DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methodologies Frontend programming using JavaScript frameworks DoD Developmental Test & Evaluation Community Experience Containerization, (Docker, Podman) NoSQL databases, (PostGRES, MongoDB) DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Microsoft coding frameworks, (C#, .NET CORE, ASP.net) Version control and documentation using common industry collaboration tools, (Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jira, Confluence) Agile development methodology Essential knowledge of SQL Database tools (Oracle SQL Developer) Effective oral and written communication and organization/planning and time management REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE A bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline and either two years of related experience or a master’s degree in an associated discipline are required for this position. In addition, a Computer Scientist II must possess the following qualifications: Experience with computer-based systems and applications Programming skills in languages used for job-specific programming tasks Familiarity with the application of industry standard hardware and software design and documentation techniques Familiarity with systems engineering and software development lifecycles Effective verbal and written communication skills Good planning /organizational skills Ability to work under deadlines Must possess a valid, state issued driver’s license.

Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay.
