Job description

We are seeking a Systems Administrator for the Facilities Related Control Systems (FRCS) Support Services contract. This project will provide knowledge, training, and support to assist the U.S. Marine Corps Public Works Department in the areas of FRCS, Cybersecurity, Assessment and Authorization (A&A), Authority to Operate/Authority to Connect (ATO/ATC) package upkeep and maintenance, USMC Cloud and Cloud-Based A&A support, and data center support/administration for the FRCS virtualized environment, servers, and associated applications. This is a full-time, on-site position at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Lejeune, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, and satellite locations near Camp Lejeune, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, within normal business hours (7:00 am to 5:00 pm).

So, what will the Systems Administrator at Terrestris do?

The Systems Administrator will be a key billet for the Facilities Related Control Systems (FRCS) Support Services contract, providing administers secure FRCS infrastructure ensuring reliable performance, compliance, availability, resilience. This position is contingent upon contract award.

What does a typical day look like for a Systems Administrator?

You will:

  • Administer and maintain FRCS multi-server test, pre-production, and production environments, ensuring system availability, performance, capacity, recoverability, and operational readiness across enterprise infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, patch, troubleshoot, and optimize FRCS applications, Windows Server operating systems, virtualization platforms, storage resources, and supporting network services to sustain secure and reliable operations.
  • Execute configuration, change, incident, and problem management processes by documenting system modifications, resolving technical issues, implementing approved changes, and maintaining system baselines in accordance with IT service management practices.
  • Monitor and manage server health, system performance, resource utilization, backups, and disaster recovery capabilities while proactively identifying and resolving hardware, software, and infrastructure issues to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Implement and maintain compliance with NIST, DoD, Department of the Navy, and USMC cybersecurity requirements by applying security patches, enforcing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), supporting RMF activities, and maintaining secure system configurations.
  • Support FRCS engineering, integration, and sustainment activities by configuring enterprise servers, validating software deployments, maintaining technical documentation and standard operating procedures, and collaborating with cybersecurity, network, and controls engineers to implement system enhancements and resolve complex technical issues.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:

  • A current Secret clearance is required.
  • Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Oral and written English fluency.
  • State's Driver's License.
  • Experience in providing systems administration and management for FRCS multi-server test bed, preproduction, and production environments.
  • Experience with FRCS applications, operating systems, protocols, and equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience with service management, configuration management, change management, incident and problem management processes.
  • Experience in managing all systems resources, to include performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
  • Experience in managing system and component compliance with established NIST, DoD, DoN, and USMC software, hardware, security, and enterprise architectural standards.
  • Experience with implementing and complying with Marine Corps Information Assurance policies and procedures, particularly as they relate to FRCS.
  • Professional Certifications (Required): CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA CASP or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) CompTIA Server+

  • LPI Linux Essentials.
