Position Summary:


We are seeking an experienced Air Compressor Field Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and providing excellent customer service in a variety of industrial environments.

The Air Compressor Field Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of air compressors and related industrial equipment at customer locations. The technician will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventative maintenance, communicate directly with customers, and ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. 


 Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site installation, service, maintenance, and repair of air compressors and related equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control-system issues.
  • Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
  • Install and commission new air compressor systems and components as needed.
  • Identify equipment issues and recommend appropriate repairs or replacement components.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment condition, repairs, maintenance requirements, and recommendations.
  • Complete accurate service reports, maintenance records, and other required documentation.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in safe and working conditions.
  • Follow all company safety policies, customer-site requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
  • Travel to customer locations as needed to provide field service and support.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an air compressor technician, industrial maintenance technician, or in a related field.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of compressed-air systems, pneumatics, motors, controls, or related industrial equipment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work safely in a variety of industrial environments.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.
  • HVAC, pneumatic, electrical, or other technical certifications/training are a plus.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations and work flexible hours when service requirements dictate.
