Key Responsibilities:

As a Pharmacist at VPI Compounding, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. Your responsibilities will include:

Prescription Review and Execution:

  • Thoroughly review and execute physician's prescriptions, ensuring appropriateness and legality.
  • Verify prescription orders and proactively seek clarifications to guarantee accuracy.

Final Verification:

  • Complete the final verification of prescription orders, upholding the highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail.

Supervision and Support:

  • Provide guidance and support to pharmacy technicians, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Actively participate in training and mentoring initiatives for the professional development of the team.


Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
  • Current state pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Have active Pharmacist licenses in multiple states (or be highly willing and eligible to obtain additional state licensures as needed).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a compounding pharmacist is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, sit, and operate compounding equipment.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring kneeling, crouching, or reaching.
