Job description

Business Development / Sales Representative

Business Development

Full Time

$40,000 - $150,000 per year

About the Role

We are seeking a personable and driven Business Development Representative to expand our compounding pharmacy's reach with providers, clinics, and wellness partners. The ideal candidate is a natural relationship-builder who can win trust quickly, maintain long-term partnerships, and represent our pharmacy with professionalism. This role requires a true self-starter who thrives with autonomy. You'll be building this territory from the ground up, creating your own systems, developing sales materials, and establishing processes. We're looking for someone who takes initiative without waiting for direction, identifies what needs to be done, and makes it happen. If you need constant guidance or expect established systems and easy wins, this isn't the right fit. You don't need prior pharmacy experience โ€” we'll train you on the details. What matters most is your entrepreneurial mindset, ability to work independently, and drive to build something meaningful.

Requirements
  • Proven self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently and create structure in ambiguous situations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - comfortable building processes and materials from scratch
  • Excellent people skills โ€“ approachable, likable, and able to win trust quickly
  • Relationship-driven โ€“ understands that sales is about listening, following up, and staying connected
  • Resilient and persistent โ€“ thrives in long sales cycles and keeps momentum going without external motivation
  • Strong initiative โ€“ identifies opportunities and acts on them without waiting for direction
  • Resourceful problem-solver who finds solutions rather than waiting for answers
  • Polished communicator โ€“ professional in person, on the phone, and in writing
  • Experience in sales, business development, or running your own business preferred (healthcare background not required)
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and building in undefined markets
  • Willingness to travel extensively โ€“ sometimes regionally, sometimes nationally, depending on opportunities
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel by air when needed
Responsibilities
  • Build and strengthen relationships with physicians, med spas, weight loss clinics, and wellness providers
  • Develop your own territory strategy and execute it with minimal oversight
  • Create and refine sales materials, presentations, and marketing collateral as needed
  • Represent the pharmacy at in-person meetings, conferences, and networking events - both locally and across multiple states
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outreach, referrals, and partnerships
  • Conduct provider visits and educational sessions (lunch & learns, small events, workshops)
  • Work closely with internal pharmacy staff to ensure client satisfaction and smooth communication
  • Build and maintain your own pipeline of leads and opportunities using CRM tools
  • Take ownership of the entire sales process from prospecting to closing
  • Provide regular feedback on market trends, client needs, and growth strategies
