Are you passionate about operating heavy equipment and thrive in a hands-on work environment? A reputable company in Smithville is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Compost Site Manager. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of a compost site, focusing on equipment operation, site management, and occasional deliveries. You will be responsible for operating wheel loaders, sifters, and weigh scales, as well as performing maintenance on equipment and ensuring smooth site operations. If you enjoy a mix of operational tasks and light supervisory duties, this could be the perfect job for you!
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as wheel loaders, sifters, and weigh scales.
- Manage and maintain the compost site, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
- Perform equipment servicing and light maintenance to ensure operational readiness.
- Make deliveries using a dump truck as needed.
- Provide some supervisory oversight to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall site operations.
**Requirements:**
- Experience operating heavy equipment, including wheel loaders and sifters.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of lifting and handling equipment.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

**Hours:** Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
