OVERIVEW
The Procurement Manager, Transportation & Logistics has responsibility for the long-term success of supply and sourcing initiatives across Transportation, Logistics and Fleet categories. The primary objective is to support effective and efficient supply chains while leveraging Transportation and Logistics spend globally through strategic sourcing, category management and supplier performance management.
This role includes responsibility for fleet-related sourcing, including medium- and heavy-duty vehicles (Class 8) across diesel, CNG/RNG, and battery-electric technologies. The position integrates traditional logistics procurement with evolving fleet and electrification strategies, ensuring alignment with operational requirements, total cost of ownership and sustainability objectives.
The Procurement Manager will collaborate with Procurement, Logistics, Fleet, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies, supplier selection, contract negotiations and supplier relationship management initiatives.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or logistics
  • Experience developing and executing sourcing strategies, including supplier selection, negotiations, and performance management
  • Experience managing projects and working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of transportation and logistics services, with exposure to fleet/vehicle sourcing (Class 8 preferred)
  • Experience using data-driven analysis and process improvement to support sourcing decisions; familiarity with alternative fuel or EV technologies is a plus

PREFERRED EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Advanced Degree (MBA or similar) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Professional certifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Logistics
  • Experience driving end-to-end project delivery, process improvements, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Strong stakeholder management experience across multiple levels of the organization
  • Experience with fleet procurement (Class 8 or vocational) and exposure to alternative fuel or electrification technologies
  • Experience with TMS platforms or logistics analytics tools;
  • Spanish language skills are a plus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Logistics Sourcing & Category Management
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans across transportation and logistics categories
  • Lead RFP/RFQ processes, supplier selection, and contract negotiations
  • Manage supplier performance through SLAs, scorecards, and business reviews
  • Build strategic supplier relationships and incorporate market insights into sourcing decisions
  • Ensure standardization of procurement processes, policies, and best practices

Fleet & Vehicle Sourcing
  • Lead sourcing and procurement of medium- and heavy-duty vehicles (diesel, CNG/RNG, battery-electric)
  • Manage end-to-end purchasing lifecycle including specifications, pricing, order placement, delivery, and upfit coordination
  • Partner with Fleet to standardize specifications and optimize cost, safety, and performance
  • Oversee supplier performance across quality, delivery, uptime, and warranty

Electrification & Emerging Technology Integration
  • Support fleet electrification and alternative fuel sourcing strategies
  • Evaluate emerging vehicle and charging technologies and integrate into sourcing decisions
  • Develop total cost of ownership models (capex, fuel/energy, maintenance, lifecycle)
  • Align vehicle sourcing with infrastructure readiness, incentives, and sustainability goals

General
  • Negotiate and manage contracts to mitigate risk and deliver value
  • Identify supplier risks and implement mitigation plans
  • Lead multiple sourcing projects and cross-functional initiatives
  • Utilize data and ERP/TMS tools to drive decision-making and performance improvement

TRAVEL
  • Up to 25% travel (primarily domestic, some international may be required)
