Job description

We are seeking a skilled Filter Engineering Technician to support the testing, alignment, tuning, and troubleshooting of RF filter products and electronic assemblies. This position works closely with Engineering to evaluate prototypes, improve product performance, and ensure products meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate has hands-on RF troubleshooting experience and can work independently in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, align, tune, and test RF filters and electronic products.
  • Troubleshoot electronic assemblies to the component level.
  • Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, and red-line documentation.
  • Support engineering with prototype builds, testing, and product development.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to optimize product performance.
  • Operate electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and related instruments.
  • Record and analyze test data and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Assist and mentor production technicians and assemblers as needed.
  • Communicate technical issues, production concerns, and project status to Engineering and Management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in RF electronics testing, troubleshooting, or engineering support.
  • Strong knowledge of RF filter technologies, including LC, cavity, tubular, crystal, or similar filter designs.
  • Ability to tune filters to required specifications.
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic circuits to the component level.
  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.
  • Must be authorized to work with ITAR-controlled information, when applicable.
