Job description

HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW The Trade Compliance Analyst will support in the development and implementation of the company's Export Compliance Program ensuring adherence to EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and U.S. Customs regulations.

This is a hybrid position near Fremont, CA.

EXPECTATIONS

· Support daily export and import compliance operations, including HTS and ECCN classification
· Review and release SAP Customs-holds for restricted party screening or license information
· Perform product classifications and coordinate with suppliers to validate third-party classifications
· Maintain export license logs ensuring compliance with export license quantities and values
· Liaise with brokers and forwarders to quickly resolve import entry or export filing related issues
· Perform audits on import and export activities, summarize results with corrective action plan
· Develop import and export procedures and SOPs to build a solid trade compliance program
· Process export shipping requests and documentation for shipments transacted outside of SAP
· Work with cross functional partners in purchasing, sales, shipping, engineering teams

 

ESSENTIALS

· 5+ years of experience in import/export compliance (high tech manufacture experience a plus)
· In depth experience with EAR, ITAR, and OFAC to interpret and apply regulations to processes
· Knowledge U.S. Customs & Other Government Agencies import regulations
· Hands on experience with HTS/ECCN Classification
· Experience performing trade activities in SAP modules
· Detailed oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
· Ability to work independently and adjust to change quickly while managing multiple priorities
· Bachelor's degree preferred
