MTSI is seeking to hire a Configuration Risk Data Management Analyst to join the team in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Contract Overview:
Golden Dome is a national-level, whole-of-nation initiative in which you will play a critical role in advancing next-generation homeland defense capabilities. If you are seeking a fast-paced position focused on developing innovative software for the Space-Based Interceptor mission, this opportunity is designed for you.
  • As a highly skilled and experienced Configuration Data Management Senior at MTSI, you will lead configuration and data management activities for mission-critical programs. In this role, you will ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of configuration data while supporting classified projects in compliance with government and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Configuration Management:
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive Configuration Management Plan for space-based interceptor systems.
  • Develop and enforce baseline controls, including tracking system versions, updates, and configurations.
  • Manage Configuration Identification, Change Control, and Configuration Audits to ensure traceability of technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD and industry standards for configuration practices, tools, and policies.

Engineering Review Board (ERB) Support:
  • Serve as the primary liaison for the Engineering Review Board (ERB), preparing risk analyses, engineering change proposals (ECPs), and technical assessments for review.
  • Evaluate proposed modifications to system configurations and ensure alignment with system specifications and program objectives.
  • Coordinate across engineering teams to ensure smooth and efficient implementation of approved changes.

Risk Management:
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, schedule, and cost risks particularly focused on development and deployment phases of the program.
  • Maintain a comprehensive Risk Management Plan and actively use Risk and Opportunity Management tools to track and communicate program risks.
  • Conduct risk reviews with program managers and stakeholders to ensure critical risks are effectively controlled and monitored.

System Integration and Reviews:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, software engineers, and quality assurance, to ensure design integrity during system lifecycle stages.
  • Participate in milestone reviews such as System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Pre-Deployment Reviews (PDR).

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 10 years' experience
  • 20+ years of experience in configuration management in aerospace, defense, or missile systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Engineering Review Board (ERB) processes, including preparing ECPs and risk analyses.
  • Comprehensive understanding of DoD Configuration Management Standards, including MIL-HDBK-61A, AS9100, and ISO 10007.
  • Proven experience in risk identification, analysis, and mitigation strategies for defense systems.

Required Security Clearance:
Must have an Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
5 years' prior experience for access to Special Access Program Information (SAP), or Controlled Access Program (CAP); must have 1 year in the last 5 years.
