Job description

Job Summary:
Syntricate Technologies is seeking a Compliance Assistance Project Manager to manage and coordinate tasks associated with establishing the Office of Compliance Assistance. The role involves implementing IT technologies for compliance data evaluation, developing data systems, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Define project objectives and scope by reviewing proposals and determining timelines, funding, and phases.
• Manage projects from inception through completion using standard project management methodologies.
• Evaluate project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee communication plans and coordinate updates with leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage procurement and participate in contract negotiations.
• Monitor project deliverables, milestones, and deadlines.
• Develop quality management plans, documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support project management training and workshops.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 20 years of experience implementing South Carolina environmental programs.
• Bachelor’s degree with experience managing large projects of moderate complexity and risk.
• Knowledge of SCDES’s mission, programs, and objectives.
• Strong understanding of project management principles.
• Excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills.
• Experience with state government procurement and fiscal processes.
• Ability to interpret environmental rules and regulations.
Preferred:
• Expertise in statewide IT project management.
• Proven success leading multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Strong reporting, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to foster collaboration and achieve strategic goals.
