Job description

General Summary: Oversees the day-to-day operations of up to two retail stores including home store to achieve targeted productivity, sales and profitability while managing home store. Multi-Unit Store Managers must be able to perform duties of all store personnel and assist in all aspects of the daily operations of a retail store.
Major Responsibilities: include the following:
• Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service in both locations.
• Store based position,
o 3 days in home store, 2 days a week in smaller volume store
• Any changes to above schedule must be approved by RM.
• Training, developing, and evaluating all management and sales staff is primary focus.
• Develop a network of qualified candidates to facilitate growth, expansion, and re-placement.
• Actively recruit, interview, hire, train, and evaluate store management and sales staff on a continual basis.
• Monitor operations of both retail stores to ensure standards are met and maintained regarding merchandise presentation, customer service, store safety, cleanliness, shrinkage, and operating cost controls.
• Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisements.
• Demonstrates salesmanship skills by maintaining sales productivity levels.
• Communicates daily with District and/or Regional Manager, as well as corporate departments, as needed, regarding issues such as merchandise distribution, advertising, compensation, etc.
• Monitors merchandise of a retail store group to ensure effective inventory and merchandise management.
• Directs compliance of store personnel with established Company policies, procedures, and standards, such as safekeeping of Company funds, property, personnel, and grievance practices.
• Ensures fiscal integrity of both store locations by accounting for all cash, merchandise, and other store assets.
• Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisements.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, cleaning store including bathroom and stockroom, vacuuming, and returning product to inventory.
• Ability to use POS system.
• Responsible for payroll of associates in both store locations
• Other duties may be assigned
• Special projects as needed

Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations and/or Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5 years retail management experience
• BA preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Proper telephone etiquette
