Job description

Overview

The Key Carrier is a member of the Store Management Team. They support the company’s culture and values while helping run the store day-to-day, including opening/closing, assisting customers, and guiding team members to drive sales storewide. They stay actively involved in sales, work toward goals and help train associates. They ensure the store is clean, organized and operates efficiently while following company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the “Cavender’s Culture” and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Be able to perform the tasks of a Cashier and Sales Associate.
  • Maintain active role in personal selling, meeting or exceeding sales per hour goals.
  • Act as Manager on Duty as assigned.
    • Assist in the day-to-day management of the retail store and the supervision of store associates to deliver Best of the WEST customer service and drive sales.
    • Open and close store as directed.
    • Address customer complaints.
    • Handle returns and exchanges.
    • Address associate assignments and concerns.
  • Assist in the effort to increase sales, maintain profit structure, and reduce controllable expenses using key metrics.
  • Assist in the training of store associates.
  • Help keep the store looking clean and well-presented, both inside and outside, and make sure associates look neat and professional.
  • Contribute to a safe and secure store environment and report any safety/security accidents or incidents to the Store Manager or District Manager promptly.
  • Understand and execute all company policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in Loss Prevention measures in the store.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
