Apply for this opportunity as a Generalist Medical Technologist OR Medical Laboratory Technician in the Western New York area. Openings for full-time on the evening shift and night shift.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Generalist Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory tests in a variety of areas including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank. As a New York State licensed Medical Technologist, you will ensure accurate test results, maintain laboratory equipment, and contribute to a high standard of patient care. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and complex laboratory tests in various disciplines, including hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, and blood banking.
  • Analyze test results and provide accurate and timely reports to physicians and healthcare providers.
  • Ensure proper specimen collection, handling, and processing in accordance with laboratory procedures.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are properly calibrated and functioning.
  • Adhere to laboratory protocols and safety standards to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies such as CLIA, CAP, and OSHA.
  • Review and interpret laboratory results, troubleshoot discrepancies, and take corrective actions when necessary.
