Job description

Description Coordinates and manages the daily operations of the McReynolds Athletic Complex. Opens and closes the park gates and facilities. Enforces park regulations and policies and provides program and event assistance to patrons.

Answers questions, guides participants to appropriate park locations and resolves patron concerns and problems. Provide assistance with the management and operations of athletic fields, picnic shelters, parking lots, restroom buildings, playgrounds, bike paths and walking trail. Monitors and inspects the park for violations of park rules, oversees building and field security and responds to park emergencies.

Maintains the cleanliness of the park and facilities; picks up litter, empties trash cans, cleans restrooms and inspects park for safety violations. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. High school graduate or equivalent with some work experience involving public contact required.

Working knowledge of operating a park or similar facility desired. Must be disciplined, reliable, self-motivated and have excellent customer service skills. Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia with good driving record mandatory.

Requires an acceptable criminal background check. Supplemental Information Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings and weekends. This job is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment checks to include criminal history and background checks.

Physical Demands Requires regular, and at times sustained, performance of heavier physical tasks such as walking/running over rough or uneven surfaces, bending, stooping, kneeling, leaping, jumping down, standing in place or continual walking, lifting and carrying of moderate to heavy items on a consistent basis.
