Job description

Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our dynamic team in Austin. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives on challenging, high-level work and values collaboration within a well-established-and growing-organization.
Our team handles a diverse range of matters, including construction defect, premises liability, product liability, and other complex general liability cases. This is an in-office position that offers flexibility where appropriate.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will take ownership of your files and work closely with attorneys through all phases of litigation-from initial pleadings through trial preparation. You'll play a critical role in driving cases forward while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and organization.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal in civil defense litigation
  • Experience handling Texas matters in both state and federal courts
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and legal terminology
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
  • Meticulous attention to detail in drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Windows applications, e-filing systems, and online research tools
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including interaction with senior-level professionals
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Sound judgment in managing a diverse workload
  • Experience with billing and time entry
  • Paralegal certificate or degree preferred, but not required
