The majority Indigenous-owned company provides camp and support services for remote workforce housing projects. Description:

Wicehtowak Frontec Services is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Jansen, SK. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for performing various skilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain a 24/7 facilities operation. Responsibilities include maintaining the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. responsible for general housekeeping at the lodge.

Where We Work and Live:

The Jansen Discovery Lodge is a workforce housing facility in support of the BHP Jansen potash mine. The camp is located 155 kilometers east of Saskatoon, SK.

Our positions work an 14 days on, 7 days off rotation. Accommodations and meals during your work rotations are provided by the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, plan and complete or oversee the completion of quarterly, semi and annual preventative maintenance and additional work order requests.

  • Respond to emergencies 24/7 and as a minimum meet the minimum level of communication standards necessary for high quality customer service and effort to stabilize/secure unusual occurrences

  • Monitoring the CMMS program for work order distribution, usage, and completions

  • Prioritizing work and planning work daily

  • Maintain and follow provincial and company Occupational Health and Safety Programs at all times, being adequately experienced, trained and equipped to safely complete assigned tasks (e.g. Personal protective equipment (PPE), field level hazard assessments (FLHA), safe work procedures, emergency response plans, spill kits, etc.)

  • Providing oversight and direction for and within the team

  • Interfacing with the client and responding quickly and thoroughly to changes in client requirements and amendments in scope

  • Ensuring quality standards are being met

  • Assisting with in-house training programs and encouraging best work practices which leads to continuous improvement initiatives

  • Investigating continuous improvement options for inventory and equipment ordering and repairs,

  • Assisting with detailed estimates for additional work and offsite requests for service, and

  • Completing preventative, corrective, emergency and special project duties as required. 

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate should have either a red seal trade certification or comparable education

  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a camp setting 

  • Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical for maintenance operations 

  • Highly experienced with management in a 24/7 operation with a strong customer focus

  • Strong computer skills, including the Microsoft office suite.

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software systems

  • Valid class 5 Driver's License is required

  • Professional communication skills, oral, and written 

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask, work well under pressure, and effectively solve problems
