Selfcare Space Counseling Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and preparations to assess the clinical needs of new and existing clients, ensuring personalized treatment plans.
• Participate actively in case conferences and treatment planning discussions to optimize care strategies for patients undergoing mental health treatment.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored for children, teenagers, and their families.
• Monitor and assess clients’ progress through regular follow-up appointments, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to provide the most effective care.
• Collaborate with social workers and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Complete all necessary clinical documentation accurately and promptly, maintaining compliance with organizational policies and standards.
• Engage in clinical supervision sessions, ensuring continuous professional growth and adherence to best practices in therapy.
• Lead psychoeducational groups aimed at equipping clients with essential coping strategies and resources.
• Coordinate care with institutional programs to facilitate resources and further enhance the support network for clients.

The primary population you will serve includes children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. Working within the community health clinic framework, you will have the opportunity to implement tailored interventions that promote resilience and coping. Your expertise will help guide young clients towards improved emotional well-being and functional outcomes as you foster strong therapeutic relationships built on trust and understanding.

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a relevant mental health discipline.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• Strong clinical skills with a proven ability to establish rapport and trust with clients of varying backgrounds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective collaboration with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development, including staying updated with best practices in therapy.

• Experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical or community health setting is highly desired.
• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting psychological assessments and crisis intervention strategies.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Art Therapy.
• Experience supervising interns or volunteers may be beneficial to the development of clinical competencies within the team.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $52,000 to $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
