                                                                                      CASE MANAGER – APS (56-26)

                                                                         ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES


Job Status: Permanent

Hours of Work: 14 hours per week

Base office: Parry Sound

Competition #: 56-26

Purpose of the Position: Assisting adults with developmental disabilities to become as independent as possible by ensuring the provision of social support services.


Education and Qualifications:

  • Developmental Service Worker Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with individuals living with a developmental disability in the community
  • Experience providing case management services
  • Commitment to the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as cooperatively within a team environment in a rural setting
  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities and the social service system
  • Willingness to participate in community education or community relation activities and/or community development activities
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • A valid Ontario G or G2 driver’s license and reliable means of transportation
  • Experience with computers and Microsoft Office programs
  • Indigenous cultural awareness and education is an asset.
  • A willingness to work various shifts during days/evenings (including weekends and statutory holidays)

Salary:  $28.95 to $39.09 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience

Benefits: Optional enrollment in a
Registered Retirement plan with HOOPP where contributions start on date of hire.
