The Learning Program Manager role is responsible for assessing the learning needs of the business, creating learning programs using adult learning principles and a variety of learning techniques, working with stakeholders to form the content within the learning journey, and continuously evaluating and improving the learning program to achieve high levels of efficiency and effectiveness.
This role is the owner from end to end of specific learning program(s), primarily focused in professional and leadership development, and is accountable to ensure the learning experience is relevant and timely. This requires the Learning Program Manager to stay closely connected with the business and the roles/skills within the business, anticipate changing demands and needs from the business, and manage relationships with stakeholders to build and maintain credibility. This role reports to the Manager of Learning & Development.
Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with the business to identify the skills needed for today and in the future for the business; conduct needs assessments, skill and knowledge mapping
  • Create, implement, and continuously improve learning programs focused on specific roles/skills within the business, using adult learning principles, diverse learning modalities, and the pragmatic needs of the business
  • Partner with SMEs in the business to create relevant and timely learning programs that improve leadership skills across the organization
  • Evaluate effectiveness of learning programs using Kirkpatrick's evaluation model, and augment the program to achieve improved results
  • Monitor progress and completions of participants through the learning program, identifying solutions to any barriers in successful completion

Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years in Learning & Development, focused on adult learning
  • Minimum 1-3 years of leadership development experience
  • Experience in instructional design, program and curricula development
  • Expertise in learning and program evaluation
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, learning best practices and innovation
  • Experience designing and delivering learning in a variety of modalities
  • Learning technology and management system experience preferred
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills
  • Organized with strong time management and prioritization skills
  • High sense of accountability and assertiveness
  • Strong communication skills
  • Process oriented with a focus on execution
