Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Associate Attorney, whether you're an experienced litigator or a newly admitted attorney eager to build your career. While 1-3 years of experience is preferred, we welcome new attorneys with the motivation and desire to learn, and we provide the training to help you succeed. A background in workersโ€™ compensation law is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of legal principles, excellent analytical skills, and a strong passion for guiding clients through complex legal matters. As an Associate Attorney at Schlossberg & Umholtz, you will work closely with senior attorneys and support staff to deliver exceptional legal services and secure favorable outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of workersโ€™ compensation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather information and build strong cases.
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the claims process.
  • Stay current on developments in workersโ€™ compensation law and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Admission to the State Bar and in good standing.
  • 1-3 years of experience practicing law preferred.
  • We will train you if you demonstrate the motivation and skill.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
