• Provide individual, couples, family, and group counseling tailored to the unique needs of clients seeking mental health support.
• Create personalized treatment plans that address specific goals and monitor clients' progress towards achieving these objectives.
• Help clients develop healthy coping strategies and effective life skills that empower them to manage their mental health challenges.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Maintain detailed and confidential client records in line with HIPAA regulations to facilitate continuity of care and safeguard client privacy.
• Use evidence-based approaches and interventions to guide clients through their therapeutic journey, ensuring accountability and progress evaluation.

You will work with a demographically diverse patient population in the Paterson area, encompassing various backgrounds, life experiences, and mental health challenges. This role requires cultural sensitivity and adaptability as you cater to each client’s unique circumstances, including those dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Active licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members.
• A commitment to ethical practices, confidentiality, and professionalism.

• Experience working with a wide range of mental health issues and diverse populations.
• Familiarity with telehealth tools and techniques, as well as the ability to adapt traditional counseling methods to a virtual setting.
• Previous experience in a community health setting or similar environment will be advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and client caseload. In addition, Life Compass Counseling Center provides comprehensive benefits that include:
