Job Summary
Purpose of the Role:
The Private Events Sales Manager is responsible for securing and executing private and corporate event bookings at The Hand & The Eye. This person will serve as the key point of contact for inbound and outbound event leads, customizing proposals and managing logistics across departments.This is a relationship-first role requiring hospitality instinct, attention to detail, and an entrepreneurial drive to maximize revenue while preserving brand standards and experience quality.
Key Outcomes:
  • Convert inbound event leads and proactively source private event opportunities
  • Prepare proposals, secure deposits, and manage client contracts and expectations
  • Coordinate internally with F&B, programming, guest relations, and tech for seamless event execution
  • Maintain up-to-date pipeline, forecasting tools, and CRM entries
  • Support VIP moments, tastings, walkthroughs, and partnership activations as needed

Required Background:
  • 4-6+ years of private event or catering sales experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a high EQ; ability to close without pressure
  • Familiarity with hospitality tech platforms (e.g., Tripleseat, SevenRooms, Toast)
  • Proven experience managing budgets, timelines, and vendor coordination
  • Comfort with both creative and corporate clientele; discretion and charm required
