Job description

Thrive Education Partners is seeking an experienced, Orton-Gillingham certified tutor to provide individualized literacy instruction to students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences.

The ideal candidate is a warm, engaging educator who can assess each student's needs and deliver structured, explicit, sequential, multisensory instruction in reading, spelling, phonological awareness, decoding, encoding, and written language. This tutor should be skilled in building confidence, monitoring progress, and communicating professionally with families and the team.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Orton-Gillingham certification or comparable advanced training from a recognized organization
  • Bachelor's degree required; a degree in education, special education, literacy, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience supporting students with dyslexia or language-based learning differences
  • Strong knowledge of structured literacy and evidence-based reading instruction
  • Ability to individualize lessons and maintain clear progress documentation
  • Dependable, collaborative, and professional
  • Teaching license, CALP, CALT, or additional reading-intervention credentials are a plus
