Location: This is an on-site field position based in Fishers, Indiana, with travel to residential projects throughout Central Indiana.

Homes by C.M. Watson is seeking a dependable and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations across custom residential construction and remodeling projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will coordinate subcontractors, maintain jobsite standards, monitor progress, and help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the high level of quality our clients expect.


This position is ideal for a proactive construction professional who understands the complexity of custom work, takes ownership of jobsite results, and is comfortable using technology to improve communication and organization. Although this is primarily a supervisory role, occasional hands-on assistance may be required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily jobsite operations for custom homes, remodels, additions, and other residential projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, material deliveries, inspections, and site activities.
  • Work with the Project Manager to maintain project schedules and identify potential delays.
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure projects meet company quality standards, plans, and specifications.
  • Maintain clean, organized, professional, and safe jobsites.
  • Communicate jobsite progress, concerns, and scheduling needs to the Project Manager and office team.
  • Review project documents, selections, change orders, and construction details before work is completed.
  • Document site conditions and project progress using Buildertrend, CompanyCam, and other field technology.
  • Help resolve field issues quickly and professionally.
  • Perform occasional hands-on construction tasks when needed to keep a project moving.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, inspectors, and team members.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in residential construction, remodeling, custom home building, or commercial construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, building methods, and jobsite coordination.
  • Experience supervising subcontractors and maintaining project schedules.
  • Ability to read plans, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and personal initiative.
  • Ability to identify problems, research solutions, and act without requiring constant direction.
  • Experience using Buildertrend is required. Additional software experience, such as CompanyCam, Plaud, iGUIDE, and other construction technology, is a plus. Willingness to learn company technology is required.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to walk active construction sites, climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an insurable driving record.

Pay and Benefits

  • Full-time, W-2 Employment
  • Annual salary of $65,000-$80,000, based on construction experience, field leadership skills, and qualifications.
  • Long-term opportunity with room to grow into increased field leadership responsibilities project oversight responsibilities..
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on construction schedules.
