Job description

Job Objective & Safety/Security Sensitive Designation JOB OBJECTIVE: To monitor and inspect contracted wrecker companies, transportation providers and for-hire vehicles to include taxicabs, luxury sedans, limousines, shuttles and related non-motorized transportation (e.g. horse and carriage, pedicabs, etc.) to ensure compliance all applicable policies, procedures, codes, ordinances and laws. This position is not designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is not subject to random drug and alcohol screening

Minimum Qualifications, Additional Requirements and Supervisory Responsibilities These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of two (2) years of college coursework in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related area, and two (2) years of administrative experience to include the enforcement and interpretation of codes, ordinances and laws, or a related area and one (1) year of computer experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position. Must possess Citation Authority Certification within three (3) months of employment and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this position. Must be available to work nights, holidays, and weekends and respond to emergency calls as required.
