We're seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to help expand our referral network, strengthen strategic partnerships, and drive new business opportunities throughout Long Island and the surrounding markets.
Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, this highly visible role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on company growth while serving as a key ambassador for the Liberty brand.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining referral partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, supporting marketing initiatives, and representing Liberty Moving & Storage throughout the community.
This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys networking, building long-term business relationships, attending events, and helping drive measurable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategic Partnerships
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with:
    • Real estate agents and brokerages o Property managers and luxury residential communities o Senior living communities o Corporate relocation partners
    • Chambers of commerce and local business organizations
  • Identify and cultivate new referral sources and partnership opportunities.
  • Conduct regular in-person visits and relationship-building meetings throughout Long Island and surrounding areas.
  • Maintain a consistent field presence to strengthen Liberty's visibility and reputation within the marketplace.
  • Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, industry functions, and community events.
Sales Growth & Revenue Development
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to execute growth strategies and revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Support lead generation and referral development efforts.
  • Assist in identifying new market opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Strengthen and expand existing referral channels.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to identify opportunities for business growth.
Marketing & Brand Support
  • Support Liberty's social media presence across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms.
  • Assist with the creation of marketing materials, presentations, one-pagers, and promotional content.
  • Coordinate and support client appreciation events, sponsorships, networking functions, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent brand representation across all business development and marketing activities.
Reporting & Performance Analysis
  • Track outreach activities, meetings, referrals, and partnership development efforts.
  • Maintain KPI dashboards and provide weekly activity reports.
  • Evaluate referral partner performance and return on investment (ROI).
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Required
  • 2-5 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, marketing, recruiting, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Professional presence with confidence in client-facing environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Long Island and surrounding areas.
