A Fortune 500 Retail Firm is currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst.  

Job Description

Perform all financial functions for the CRK MAE/Collateral Expense area:

Complete all close, estimate and budgetary processes for the income statement and balance sheet

Complete monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting

Assist CK Advertising Finance Manager on various ad-hoc requests (special projects, presentations, GAAP research, etc.)

Timely and accurate review of actual results to ensure completion, accuracy, proper classification and compliance with US GAAP

Reconcile, analyze and manage P&L and balance sheet accounts

Identify and communicate variances to estimate/budget

Assist in analyzing legal contracts and obligations

Monitor and analyze expenses, perform formal reconciliations and investigate/resolve variances in a timely manner

Review invoices and T&E expense reports to ensure they comply with company policy and are in line with the budget, reporting material variances

Understand estimate assumptions and review for reasonableness and timing, challenging where appropriate

Identify, communicate and track full year risks and opportunities

Track movement between various accounts and advertising jobs to ensure the department as a whole closes the year on budget

Assist with the preparation of companies Advertising bi-annual Budget process

Attend budget meetings and work with operational partners to complete budgets and Two Year Plans

Challenge assumptions to ensure sound logic and completion, including amounts and timelines

Preparation of budget packages, templates and variance explanations

Consolidation of budgets

Preparation of top-level schedules and presentations

Key liaison with companies Advertising departments related to all financial matters:

Prepare monthly financials for domestic departments and attend monthly review meetings with department managers

Work with operational partners to understand their businesses, related processes and identify accounting and finance related questions/issues

Provide financial and accounting guidance and support to operational partners as needed

Work with the CK Advertising Manager and Controller in resolving day-to-day accounting issues


Qualifications

4 - 6 years of experience, preferably in corporate finance environment.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience with EssBase and SAP

Experience with BrandOcean/DDS Accpak (MediaOcean) is a plus

Strong analytical skills & detail oriented

Ability to see the "big picture" while working with details

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to improve processes is a plus

PC skills - Microsoft Office (primarily Excel)

Flexibility to work as workload requires (Heavy workload required during key financial processes such as year-end, preparation of budgets and monthly close)
