Job description

Job Title: Coordinator, Compactor Installation
Location: Remote/Hybrid - USA
Reports to: Manager, Asset
Department Name: Solutions
Job Types: Full Time - Non-Exempt
Compensation: Starting at $20/hour (Actual compensation is commensurate with job related knowledge, skills, experience, etc.)
Position Summary
The Compactor Installation Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end scheduling, coordination, and execution of compactor and waste equipment installations. Reporting to the Asset Manager, this role serves as the central point of contact between sales, customers, vendors, and field technicians to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective installations.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule installations of compactors, balers, and related waste equipment.
  • Serve as the liaison between sales teams, customers, contractors, and service technicians.
  • Review contracts and installation requirements to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Manage project timelines from order approval through installation completion.
  • Arrange site inspections and confirm site readiness (e.g., electrical, concrete pads, space requirements, etc.).
  • Procure necessary permits, equipment, and third-party services (e.g., rigging, electrical, hauling).
  • Track and communicate installation status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and installation issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM/ERP systems, including installation documentation and customer details.
  • Coordinate post-installation follow-ups, including customer satisfaction and service handoff.
  • Ability to travel and/or work onsite up to 25% on an annual basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Experience & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in project coordination, logistics, or equipment installation in the waste industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Proven experience working with field service teams and contractors to read and interpret site plans, contracts, and technical specifications.
  • Working knowledge of compactor/baler equipment and installation requirements.
  • Familiarity with permitting processes and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, local codes).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak effectively with both employees of the organization and external customers.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to demonstrate active listening to understand customer needs.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Travel and/or onsite work will be up to 25% on an annual basis.
