Job Summary:
MDAEdge is seeking a skilled Server & Network Administrator to manage, optimize, and secure enterprise-level systems and networks. This role involves server administration, storage management, backup operations, and network infrastructure support in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain physical and virtual s​ervers (Windows/Linux).
• Perform regular system updates, security patching, and performance tuning.
• Automate server deployment, monitoring, and maintenance activities using scripts or tools.
• Administer and optimize storage environments including SAN, NAS, and direct-attached storage.
• Monitor and analyze storage capacity, performance, and usage trends.
• Implement and maintain storage replication, snapshots, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Develop, implement, and verify enterprise backup and recovery strategies.
• Conduct regular backup tests to ensure data integrity and recoverability.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for disaster recovery and continuity planning.
• Configure and support LAN/WAN networks, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Manage network provisioning, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and maintain up-to-date documentation on network circuits and configurations.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
• Proficiency in enterprise storage technologies such as NetApp, Dell EMC, or HPE.
• Knowledge of enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, or Veritas.
• Experience with network provisioning, capacity management, and monitoring tools.
• Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, or Python preferred).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
