IT Systems Engineering Specialist
Memphis, TN OR 100% Remote (Locals)
Requirements:

**This position is a Contract with a Set Duration of 6 mos- 1 year.**

PRIMARY PURPOSE: 

  • To assist in installing and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools, including monitoring installed IT systems, cloud, and network infrastructure.
  • To assist with providing network-level verification and security to the IT organization and tracking system alerts and notifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assists in installing and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Assists in monitoring installed systems and infrastructure for the organization.
  • Assists with upholding security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Assists in maintaining custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower human intervention time on tasks.
  • Provides remote access solution support: VPN, Terminal Services, Citrix, and Hyper-V. Develops and maintains IT documentation.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other duties as assigned. Supports the organization's quality program(s). Travels as required.

QUALIFICATIONS 
Education & Licensing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience Five (5) years of experience implementing and maintaining technology infrastructure or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Cloud-based applications, preferably Azure. Knowledge of virtualization and containerization
  • Knowledge of Networking (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate,e and constructive written reports
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
