Position Summary

The candidate will be responsible for new pad development and application support for customers. In his/her role the applicant will have the primary function of developing and transferring the product and process application knowledge to the customers and the local technical teams. The candidate will interface closely with marketing, technical community in charge of developing the products, and the local technical community in charge of long-term support of the product. The candidate will be trained to develop expertise in the new products prior to their market introduction and will be responsible for introduction of the products at customers through the customer acceptance phase, which includes process optimization and customization, early-stage troubleshooting and process stabilization at the customer site. It is expected that the candidate will spend as much as 20% of his/her time traveling globally. Selected candidate will participate in achieving the company quality goals and will operate in compliance with company safety practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop expertise in new products prior to market introduction
  • Lead the development of baseline processes and data packages in the final stage of the product commercialization
  • Transfer product expertise to the customer and the local technical support teams
  • Support customers in troubleshooting issues, including optimize and customize the process to the specific customer requirements
  • Safety is a key value of the company and it is expected that the employee will participate in safety activities of the company.
  • Troubleshooting problems both internal and at customer sites.
  • Participates in achieving the company quality goals.
  • The candidate will strive for achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction and will work diligently to ensure high quality in conducting and report work.

  • Global customers Sales, Marketing and Global Field Service engineering community
  • Counterparts in Technology organizations and the greater technology community (Tech Service, Pad/Slurry R&D and Applications labs)
ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Process baseline and data packages are in place for product introduction to the broad market
  • The product delivers against its designed targets in the customerโ€™s process environment
  • Customers satisfaction with the functional performance of the product
  • Local technical teams are trained and equipped for sustained support beyond early introduction and stabilization phase
  • Each project goal is clear and understood among the team
  • Results are clearly documented and communicated globally
  • Operates in compliance with company safety and ethics practices.
Required qualifications
  • Three years semiconductor experience or relevant process development/customer engagement experience.
  • Minimum B.S. in Chem, Chem E, Mech E, Materials Science/Engr or related engineering degree
  • Preferred qualifications Experience with CMP, advanced packaging, and/or semiconductor fabrication preferred DOE, statistical data analysis and technical reporting
  • Knowledge of all pertinent semiconductor fabrication metrology and procedures
  • Effective communication/interpersonal skills
