Community Support Individual (CSI) Job Description 

Make a Real Impact in Your Community 

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? Do you  thrive in a role that allows you to provide critical support, guidance, and advocacy? If so, we  invite you to join our team as a Community Support Individual (CSI)

As a CSI, you will provide in-home support services that empower children, adolescents,  and their families to navigate challenges and build essential life skills. Your role will be  instrumental in fostering positive behavioral change and connecting families with vital  community resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Skill Development: Work closely with children, adolescents, and families to  develop essential life skills that support emotional and behavioral well-being.
  • Resource Linkage: Connect parents and guardians with valuable community  resources to ensure holistic support.
  • Family Engagement: Teach and reinforce parenting techniques that promote  consistency and positive behavioral change.
  • Collaboration & Advocacy: Act as a liaison between families and mental health  professionals, advocating for children in various settings, including court  proceedings, school meetings, and panel reviews.
  • Safety Planning: Assist in developing Individual and Family Safety Plans to ensure a  secure and supportive environment.
  • Comprehensive Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all services  provided, including progress notes and service goal updates, ensuring timely  submissions. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in community support, case management, or  related roles.
  • Proven experience working with at-risk children, adolescents, and families.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. 
  • Access to a laptop, a valid Georgia driver’s license, and reliable transportation. 
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English) is a plus!
