Job description

Community Relations Intern:
The South Carolina Stingrays are seeking outgoing, energetic, and hardworking individuals to be a part of their internship program for the 2026-27 season! The Stingrays internship program provides current college students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain relevant experience in their desired field and learn the operations of a professional sports organization.
The Community Relations intern will be responsible for providing assistance to the Community Relations Manager with all planning, coordinating, and execution of community programs, initiatives, and events.
Responsibilities:
  • Attending community and mascot appearances.
  • Scheduling and coordination for programs such as "Hometown Hero", "Salute to Service" and "Assist of the Game" .
  • Creation of community contact lists and ability to locate and connect with nonprofit organizations.
  • Working as a part of the promotions team on game days.
  • Additional responsibilities assigned by the Community Relations Manager.

Qualifications:
  • Must be available willing to work long hours including evenings and weekends
  • Displays a positive and upbeat attitude
  • Must display excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to interact comfortably with fans and community partners of all ages and backgrounds
  • Must be reliable, punctual, able to follow instructions, and respond to managers instructions
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to work weekends
