Job description

Life Enrichment Aide, Non-Exempt
Hours: Part-Time
Starting Wage: $15.25/hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
Supports the effort of the Life Enrichment Manager in the assessing, selecting, and organizing and implementing of recreational services to address the individualized needs and interests of the overall resident population. Works cooperatively with staff from all departments
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Lead group activities and assist Life Enrichment Manager in planning activities to fulfill the needs and interests of all residents.
  • Leads sensory stimulation activities for small groups.
  • Lead and assist in community outings, including caregiver duties
  • Provides one-on-one visits and sensory stimulation as needed to fulfill the needs and interests of the residents
  • Leads one-on-one visits to fulfill the needs and interests of the residents
  • Informs residents of upcoming events
  • Documents resident attendance
  • Alerts Life Enrichment Manager, nursing staff and Life Enrichment Team of any notable changes in residents’ overall health
  • Transports residents to/from group activities
  • Feed residents or assist residents in eating and drinking if caregiver is unavailable
  • Assist residents with using the toilet in the event a caregiver is unavailable
  • Serves refreshments and completes daily cleaning of the activity areas
  • Supports the Mission, Vision, and values of Woodside Senior Communities
  • Is knowledgeable of resident rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all residents/tenants in a safe, secure environment
  • Observes care in ensuring the confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee, and operations data as required by HIPAA/HITECH regulations
  • Abides by all applicable statutes and regulations through compliance with the Woodside Corporate Compliance and Ethics Program
  • Completes requirements for in-service training
  • Completes other tasks and duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
